Tool/technique to add muscle mass without weights

This is not a question out of laziness and I know this sounds silly, but I am sure this concept exists and is very real.

I am interested in a different approach to achieve good muscle mass without creating joint injuries or new posture issues. I have had many bad experiences and even physio therapists have let me down considerably.

Additionally to whatever this practice is, I would still want to do cardio (jogging or whatever) and perhaps some sports,

I believe this MUST exist: a safer, natural balanced way for your body to add muscle mass by itself in the correct ratios

Any ideas? I was thinking perhaps some modification of Zhan Zhuang with perhaps intent added?
